Today, we’re still baking from scratch. Still using the same recipe. Still doing it for the love of the roll.
This is more than a bakery. It’s a legacy we’re proud to carry forward — one swirl at a time.
We’re a small, tight-knit team of makers, dreamers, and legacy-builders.
Some of us grew up on Manske Rolls. Others came for the icing and stayed for the mission. We all believe in baking with purpose — staying true to the original while rolling into something even bigger.
We’re here to make every roll melt-in-your-mouth.
And every customer feel like they’re part of something legendary.

Lyndon Baines Johnson, 36th president of the United States, was the most prominent graduate from Texas State University located just blocks from the Manske Roll Bakery. While the Manske Grill didn’t open until 1940’s and Johnson graduated in 1930, Johnson encountered the delightful creation on one of his numerous trips back to San Marcos for political functions. Once in office, LBJ had the delicious rolls sent to the White House, perhaps to enjoy a piece of his younger, less stressful days.
